
Virtuosic Bassoonists James Aylward and Lyndon Watts present an incredible program for bassoons, including works by Chris DENCH, Louis ANDRIESSEN, Liza LIM and a world premiere of Noemi Liba FRIEDMAN's Pluvio Files (1), a work for six live bassoons and visual media. It is not often six bassoonists perform in a room in semi-surround sound, so if you want to experience this, come down.

Nicola Robinson performed Noemi Liba Friedman's 'The Eleventh Partial' at The Abbotsford Convent. This work was commissioned as part of the ANAM Set and was recorded live for ABC's Radio National's The Music Show, followed by an interview of Noemi and Nicola about the work with Andrew Ford.

‘Threshold’ is a music work by Composer Noemi Liba Friedman commissioned by The Grainger Museum, University of Melbourne specifically for the microtonal Federation Handbells, percussion and voices, to be premiered as part of Multivocal, currently showing at the Old Quad Treasury gallery.
It will be performed in surround sound, integrating elements of Middle Eastern quarter-tone scales into an evocative and atmospheric contemporary new music work to welcome asylum seekers and immigrants arriving here from a life impacted by persecution or war.

Extremitäten features a series of works for small large chamber orchestra, to be performed by the Landesjugendensemble Neue Musik Berlin under the baton of Jobst Liebrecht, and as part of the Klangwerkstatt Berlin - Festival für Neue Musik 2018. Included in this program is the world premier performance of Noemi Liba Friedman's Barak (Fragments of Lightning and Storm), an extended 25 minute work for flute quintet, string quintet, prepared piano, percussion, alongside works by Jobst Liebrecht and Gerhard Scherer.

Noemi's work 'Dog-Man' for bass flute, alto saxophone, soprano to alto voice, classical guitar, piano and violin was commissioned for this 10th anniversary edition of the Camino Contro Corrente Art Music Festival, which gave the world premiere of the work, amongst works by Maura Capuzzo, Igor Stravinskij, Stefan Hakenberg and Diego Conti.
